A mechanical CAD drafter/ designer Three or more years of experience Previous work for a design firm or an automated machinery fabrication shop Proficient with AutoCAD or similar design software Experience with 3-D design preferable Able to work independently or as a member of a design team

Qualifying Skills  

Knowledge mechanical dimensioning Understanding of mechanisms and industrial machinery Proficiency with the fabrication-detail drawings and Bills of Material Some understanding of machine instrumentation Some knowledge of pneumatics and/or hydraulics

Responsibilities 

Using CAD assembly files produce sub-assembly and fabrication detail drawings Use product catalogs to select mechanical and pneumatic components Produce bills of fabricated parts and purchased components Work independently or as a part of our design team This position is also available as a Site Engagement

 Location

Company office in Barrie, occasional travel of 1- to 2-hour driving distance. Alternative: Site Engagements at Client sites, in GTA or Central Ontario
