A mechanical machinery designer Three or more years of experience Previous work for a design firm or an automated machinery fabrication shop Proficient with 3-D AutoCAD or similar design software Able to work independently or as a member of a design team Preferably a CET

Qualifying Skills  

Practical knowledge of industrial machinery and conveying systems Ability to develop design concepts and produce assembly drawings Proficiency with fabrication-detail drawings and Bills of Material Experience with overseeing custom fabrication and assembly by contract shops Experience with managing projects

Responsibilities 

Design custom mechanisms and machines for industrial applications Produce design drawings and Bills of Material Coordinate design projects with the clients Prepare and implement project work schedules   This position is also available as a Site Engagement

 Location

Company office in Barrie, occasional travel of 1- to 2-hour driving distance. Alternative: Site Engagements at Client sites, in GTA or Central Ontario
