A generalist Professional Engineer enjoying a variety of diverse projects Five or more years of experience Previous employment in an industrial plant and in a consulting engineering office Comfortable with independent work and in a multi-disciplinary team Experienced with managing projects and overseeing designers

Qualifying Skills  

Practical knowledge of industrial electrical systems General knowledge of building and underground installations General knowledge of PLCs Some hands-on programming of PLC s and HMIs Good knowledge of the electrical Safety Code Passive knowledge of CAD Cultivated communication skills

Responsibilities 

Design electrical systems for a wide variety of applications, especially industrial manufacturing Define project terms of reference Oversee production of designs by CETs and CAD drafters Communicate with the clients Resolve conflicts Oversee implementation Occasionally program PLCs and HMIs  

 Location

Company office in Barrie, occasional travel of 1- to 2-hour driving distance. Alternative: Site Engagements at Client sites, in GTA or Central Ontario
